Job description

Do you have a passion for education and experience of working with children with various SEND needs? A mainstream Secondary school seek a specialist HLTA (higher level teaching assistant)/intervention tutor to work closely with children who have various social & emotional difficulties.

Position is to to start asap and likely to continue until at least the end of the academic year, full time hours necessary. Our school seek a compassionate and motivated individual who has experience teaching/supporting/tutoring children with complex behavioural/social and emotional needs in an education setting. You will have calm and empathetic nature whilst maintaining a structured and coherent teaching manner helping children access the education in a 1:1 and small group environment.

You will report to the SENCO and need to be able to commit to the duration of the assignment for the consistency and development of the children.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
