Early Year Teaching Assistant

Location: Hammersmith & Fulham, London

Sector:  Primary Education / SEN Support

Job Type: Full Time, Long - Term

Salary: £190 - 110 per day (dependent on experience)

Starts: Immediate

Do you love helping little learners shine? We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a friendly, inclusive primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. If you’re passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their early development, this could be the perfect role for you!

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
  • Provide 1:1 support with students who require additional support.
  • Working with small groups of pupils
  • Demonstrating a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting SEN students.
  • Reflecting on and improving your practice through self-evaluation and CPD.

Candidate specification:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
