 Learning Support Assistant – SEN Primary Schools (Portsmouth) 
Location: Portsmouth and surrounding areas
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Flexible, part-time or full-time options

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their educational journey? Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of SEN primary schools in the Portsmouth area.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs).

  • Assist teachers in creating an inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environment.

  • Help pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.

  • Support classroom activities, behaviour management and personalised learning plans.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or other relevant settings).

  • A compassionate, patient and proactive approach.

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work flexibly between different school settings as needed.
