Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in SEN primary schools across Portsmouth.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and making a positive difference in their education and wellbeing.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties

• Providing 1:1 and small group support within the classroom

• Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities

• Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development

• Helping to create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment

Compliance Requirements:

All applicants must either hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS as part of the registration process. Full vetting checks will be completed in line with safeguarding standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential)

• A calm, patient and resilient approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
