Head of Maths Opportunity at a Secondary School in Winchester

Responsibilities Summary:

  • Improve Quality of Learning in Mathematics: Lead efforts to enhance learning outcomes and progress in mathematics, ensuring a cohesive and impactful curriculum.
  • Collaborate with Key Stage Heads: Work collectively to assess and improve the curriculum's effectiveness, focusing on formative and summative assessments that accelerate student progress.
  • Foster Professional Growth: Invest in developing the knowledge and skills of your team members to continuously improve their teaching practices and overall effectiveness.
  • Coach and Mentor: Model effective coaching strategies to improve leadership and teaching practices among colleagues, promoting peer-led coaching for continuous development.
  • Monitor and Evaluate: Proactively monitor and evaluate curriculum quality, teaching methods, and assessment practices to enhance learning outcomes.
