Geography Teacher
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
- Possible role of responsibility on offer for those seeking career progression
- Full time Geography teaching position for 2 terms
- January 2017 start for interested Geography teachers
Are you a qualified Geography teacher looking for your next long term post from January onwards?
Due to an expected absence in their Geography department, our client school in Oldham are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Geography teacher for a minimum two term post.
* MPS/UPS supply rate available
* Full time post until July 2017 minimum
* Experienced Head of Humanities and Head of Geography to support new starter
This is an initial absence cover for the Spring and Summer terms, but there could be a possibility of a school based contract from September as the Humanities department is looking to expand. Our client school is a nationally sponsored Secondary academy between Royton and Shaw with around 900 pupils on roll; below the national average. The majority of students on roll are from the local areas in Oldham with a number of the cohort speaking English as an Additional Language. The academy meets the government’s floor standards in students’ attainment and progress. When Ofsted last visited the school, the behaviour and safety of pupils was commented to be a key feature in the harmonious environment and strong social culture of the school.
The ideal candidate will have experienced teaching Geography to KS3 and GCSE standards as well as a track record of delivering engaging and informative lessons to a good standard. Applicants must have UK QTS and a relevant teaching based qualification.
If you are a qualified Geography teacher looking for a long term post from January onwards, please apply via the details below or send a full CV to miles.cardilli@teachingpersonnel.com
