Phonics knowledge essential - Letters and Sounds, Read, Write Inc, Jolly Phonics.
Large outdoor provision with new facilities and a supportive EYFS team.
Nursery / Reception Teacher required for Salford Primary School M3.
Due to current expansion and to cover a Maternity leave in addition, Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Nursery or Reception teacher for September on a 1 year contract initially. Working within their EYFS department, the school would like to see Reception or Nursery teachers thrive within a supportive EYFS team.
As an early years teacher you would be required to take a lead on working with small groups of children with a focus on phonics, literacy and numeracy in particular. With phonics being a huge focus area within the EYFS curriculum, a teacher with experience of phonics schemes such as "Letters and Sounds", "Jolly Phonics" or "Read, Write Inc." would be a huge advantage. In addition, teaching in Nursery or Reception would require you to have the confidence to plan, mark and assess for other members of the EYFS department including a number of teaching assistants.
When working in a school in the Salford area, it is important to have a caring, nurturing nature whist having the confidence to set strict boundaries. Expertise on phonics, Literacy and Numeracy would be beneficial alongside being a team player within a vibrant and busy Early Years setting.

- Good links to the local area and close to Manchester City Centre
- Experienced Teachers and newly qualified teachers welcomed
Working in a school like this would provide you with a wealth of experience and professional development to build upon in the future. Experienced Teachers alongside newly qualified teachers would be welcomed to apply.
