Youth worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a youth worker to join a secondary SEMH provision.

A Youth Worker in a school setting will work with the youth to facilitate their social, personal and physical development through education and vocational courses. Their duties include organising and implementing learning activities, helping the youth understand values and ideas and building their confidence and life skills.

Contract: Temp to perm

Hours: Full-time (Monday – Thursday 8:15 – 3:30pm, Friday 8:15 – 2:30pm)

Pay: £12.90 p/hour

Provision: Secondary SEMH

Location: Rawtenstall

The provision caters for pupils who have had a negative experience through education. The setting supports pupils to access the academic learning environment through differentiation and additional resources.

You don’t need any experience to join their team. If you come from hospitality, the army, outdoor activity centres or an office-based job but are eager to help vulnerable children and young people to live happy, fulfilling lives, this is the role for you. We will provide you with full training and development to succeed within your role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
