Maths and English Graduate teaching assistant required for Large, Good Primary School in Bolton, BL1.

  • Supporting Year 2 and Year 6 children with English, Maths and Spelling and Grammar support

Are you a graduate of English or Maths and looking to gain work experience within Primary Schools? ….. If so, then this opportunity could be for you.

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a large 2 form entry primary school in the BL1 area of Bolton. This primary school are looking to appoint an English and or Maths graduate to support children in year 2 and year 6 with their English, Maths, Spelling and Grammar. With the push for higher levels of attainment and progress, the role of a Maths or English graduate teaching assistant would play a pivotal role in the education of their year 2 and year 6 children in particular.

As an English or Maths graduate teaching assistant, you would be expected to work closely with identified children on a 1:1 and small group basis to support them with activities such as guided reading, creative writing, maths, spelling and grammar with the SATs exams in mind.

• Maths or English graduate

• Creative writing / literature/language graduate

• Working with year 2 and year 6 children with SATs preparation

• Supporting with maths, reading, writing, spelling and grammar

• Long term teaching assistant role

• £14,000 - £17,000 pro rata

• September start date

As a school with higher than average SEN and pupil premium children, the school can offer outstanding support structures and facilities to any graduate teaching assistant.
