A large secondary school based in Beckton is in need of a English specialist to work within their school as a General/Science TA.
Your timetable will consist of working with students ranging from Lower set, Gifted, SEN, and General and your goal will be to help push these students to their full potential.
Even though a specialism is needed the teacher is the expert on the subject, your job as a TA is to be an expert on the student.
Your job role will include the following:
- 1:2:1 intervention
- Behavior management
- Working with the HOD to plan lessons
- Working with some SEN students
- Being flexible to the needs of the SENCO
Your hours will be from 8:00am to 4:00pm and there is a mandatory meeting every morning to go over strategies to improve the service of the department.
