Full-time English Teacher required for a School in Northumberland in September!

An English Teacher is required for a school in Northumberland, due to start in September 2020 for two teerms, at least. The school is easily accessible via both public and personal transport from all areas of Northumberland, Newcastle, South Tyneside and County Durham. You will be asked to teach KS3 - KS4 pupils, with some intervention sessions. 

The school is a mixed institution, catering for students in the local community between the ages of 11 – 18 (KS3, KS4 and KS5). The School has a strong record of attainment in English and you’ll be joining a large department with a very successful track record across GCSE and A-Level. The school offer CPD Courses for all members of staff so you are able to further your existing skills.

English Teacher – Role information

English Teacher from September 2020, on a full-time basis. Starting after the Summer break, you’ll be covering a Maternity, so will be until April 2020 at least. There is a good potential this role could become a permanent post as they are apparently looking at expanding their English Department.

Pay is across MPS / UPS dependant on your experience as an English Teacher – you will be paid in line with your spine point after 12 weeks (provided the school would employ to that level). TLR is also available for the right candidate.

  • QTS, PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience as an English Teacher to students at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • An excellent knowledge of the English UK Curriculum.

We will need you to have a child-workforce DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one.
