Teaching Personnel is recruiting confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Farnborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering teaching, experienced education professionals seeking flexibility, or individuals with transferable experience working with young people. Flexible day-to-day supply, long-term placements and permanent opportunities are available.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure students remain focused on pre-planned work.

You will not usually be responsible for planning lessons or marking. Your focus will be on providing confident classroom leadership and maintaining continuity of learning.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supervising pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Communicating lesson instructions and expectations
  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies
  • Maintaining a calm and productive classroom
  • Encouraging students to engage with their work
  • Supporting students with additional learning needs
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons
