Teaching Personnel is recruiting confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Basingstoke.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering teaching, education professionals seeking flexibility, or individuals with transferable experience working with young people. Day-to-day supply and longer-term placements are available.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure students remain focused on pre-prepared work.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supervising lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Communicating lesson instructions clearly
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Maintaining a calm and productive classroom
• Encouraging students to engage with their work
• Supporting students with additional learning needs
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons

You will not usually be responsible for planning lessons or marking. Your focus will be on providing confident classroom leadership and maintaining continuity of learning.
