Rekindle Your Love for Teaching
Are you a qualified Primary Teacher who wants the freedom to teach in a way that genuinely changes lives?
Teaching Personnel is urgently seeking an enthusiastic educator to join a specialist provision supporting children with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, speech and communication needs, dyslexia, and the impact of trauma.
This opportunity offers a 12-week temp-to-perm pathway, with the intention of securing a permanent contract directly with the school following a successful placement.
With class sizes typically between 4 and 6 pupils, you will have the opportunity to focus on relationships, engagement and personalised learning rather than simply managing behaviour.
About the Role
This setting is looking for a teacher who understands that learning does not always happen at a desk.
Whilst planning is important, successful staff recognise that pupils' needs can change throughout the day. You may find yourself delivering literacy in the morning and supporting outdoor learning, animal-based activities or community experiences in the afternoon.
Teachers from mainstream settings are welcomed, provided they can demonstrate flexibility, creativity and a pupil-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet individual learning needs.
- Foster confidence, resilience and emotional growth.
- Work collaboratively with support staff and wider professionals.
- Monitor academic and personal progress.
- Create a nurturing and structured atmosphere.
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Support the delivery of Science and PSHE.
- Contribute towards excellent SEND provision.
What We're Looking For
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience within Primary education.
- Understanding of SEND, SEMH, ASC and additional learning needs.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Creative approach to curriculum delivery.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
About Us
Learning goes far beyond the classroom. Outdoor environments offer meaningful opportunities for students to regulate, connect and engage. Whether spending time within the community or alongside animals, these experiences help children become calm, confident and curious learners.
We provide specialist education for young people who require a deeper level of understanding and support than mainstream education can typically offer. Students present with a range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.
Why Join Through Teaching Personnel?
- Immediate interviews available.
- Dedicated support from Himaya throughout the process.
- Expert guidance before and after interview.
- Weekly pay during the temporary period.
- Free CPD and specialist SEND training.
- Straightforward transition to a permanent contract after 12 working weeks.
- Long-term career opportunities within specialist education.
