Looking for a Teaching Role That Breaks the Mould?

If you are passionate about helping young people re-engage with education and enjoy finding innovative ways to inspire learners, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Teaching Personnel is working with a specialist setting that is urgently recruiting a KS1-3 Teacher to join its expanding team. This role begins on a 12-week temp-to-perm arrangement before moving onto a permanent school contract.

Classes are small, usually between 4 and 6 students, allowing you to truly understand each learner and make a lasting impact.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

This is not a role for somebody who needs every day to look the same.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, imaginative and confident adjusting plans when required. Learning can take place indoors, outdoors, within the local community or through practical experiences that encourage engagement and achievement.

The school is particularly keen to hear from practitioners who enjoy thinking outside the box and delivering lessons that capture interest in creative ways.

Main Duties

  • Deliver differentiated teaching across KS1 to KS3.
  • Support pupils with complex SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Encourage emotional development alongside educational progress.
  • Build positive, trusting connections with learners.
  • Collaborate with support teams and specialists.
  • Promote confidence, wellbeing and independence.
  • Contribute towards Science and PSHE provision.
  • Ensure a positive and productive learning culture.

Ideal Candidate

  • QTS or equivalent.
  • Experience within Primary or Lower Secondary education.
  • Knowledge of SEND and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible and solution-focused.
  • Resilient, patient and enthusiastic.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

About Us

Learning goes far beyond the classroom. Outdoor environments offer meaningful opportunities for students to regulate, connect and engage. Whether spending time within the community or alongside animals, these experiences help children become calm, confident and curious learners.

We provide specialist education for young people who require a deeper level of understanding and support than mainstream education can typically offer. Students present with a range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.

Why Join Through Teaching Personnel?

  • Himaya will help secure your interview.
  • Immediate consideration for suitable applicants.
  • Weekly pay during your temporary assignment.
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
  • Access to professional development opportunities.
  • Permanent contract after 12 successful working weeks.
  • Opportunity to develop specialist SEND expertise.
