Year 6 Class Teacher

Salary: M1–UPS3
Start Date: October 2026 or after the October half-term
Location: Bournemouth, Kinson
Hours: Part-time
Contract: Temporary, for two terms or longer

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Year 6 Class Teacher to join a welcoming school in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their skills within a supportive and established team.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons, supporting pupils' academic progress and helping them develop the confidence, resilience and positive mindset they need to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to pupils' individual needs.
  • A nurturing, enthusiastic and reliable approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment.
