Job description

Teaching personnel are currently working closely with a Bury primary school in Whitefield, M45. The bury school is looking to recruit a teaching assistant for the early years department. The role would require you to support the children on a small group basis with the occasional 1:1 work.

The role will involve working with new children from various backgrounds as the school is looking to give them the best chance of succeeding. The role poses unique challenges as many of the children you will be working with will not speak English as a first language (EAL) on top of that you will also be working with children with 'looked after' backgrounds (LAC)

Having previous early years experience within a primary school or nursery is desirable. Being comfortable with visual learning styles that will suit the early years is key.

The school is looking to recruit the early years teaching assistant after the Easter break so will be looking to conduct trial days ASAP.
