Would you like to work as a DT Technician within a successful Secondary School in Medway?

About the role:

The role of DT Technician is a diverse one that requires a responsible, well-organised individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Your responsibilities will include:

* setting up equipment and resources for practical lessons
* preparation, maintenance and storage of all apparatus and materials
* ensuring Health & Safety Policy is adhered to and all necessary precautions are taken
* carrying out risk assessments for technician activities
* providing technical support to experienced and trainee teachers

The ideal candidate will have:

* proven experience of working in a laboratory within an educational context
* a relevant qualification in Design Technology
* the ability to form excellent professional relationships
* excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills
* developed attention to detail

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
