Candidate Consultant

Teaching Personnel are the market leading education recruitment agency. We are looking to hire a talented individual in our Southampton to work as a Candidate Consultant on a full time & permanent basis.

Previous experience is not essential. If you have a firm interest in Education and want to forge a career in recruitment, then this entry level opportunity is for you! Working as a Candidate Consultant will give you direct experience working with candidates and understanding of how to secure suitable placements and work. You will support an experienced team of recruiters and have the opportunity for career development and progression.

Teaching Personnel are constantly expanding due to growth in our business, and the Southampton office is one of the biggest and most successful in the company. The successful applicant will work alongside our Secondary and SEN teams, to liaise with academies and schools throughout Hampshire & Dorset.

The role of Candidate Consultant will involve the following daily duties;

• Contacting Teachers and Teaching Assistants to start the registration process
• Communicating with the branches and consultants regarding all vetting aspects
• Advertising both permanent and temporary positions on behalf of our client schools
• Creating adverts and job specs for our candidate mailing system
• Data input of CV, career histories and references and seeking required documents
• General check in calls regarding placements and candidate availability for work
• Conducting interviews with your candidate pool alongside the consultant

The ideal candidate will have great interpersonal and social skills. Attention to detail is extremely important, as is the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and candidates, both in person and over the phone. You will be the go-to person during the registration process for candidates. Retaining and recording information is an extremely important factor for this position. An undergraduate degree in any subject would be beneficial but not essential.
