Job Title: Primary Teacher
Location: Portland, Dorset
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent/Temporary
Salary: £120-£140 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
About the Role:
Teaching Personnel are seeking passionate and dedicated Primary Teachers to join vibrant and supportive schools in Portland, Dorset. This is a fantastic opportunity for any enthusiastic educators to make a positive impact on children's learning and development. You will work within a dynamic team to deliver high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum and ensure that each child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning.
- Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the individual needs of students, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and foster a positive, respectful learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and report regularly to school leadership.
- Promote a culture of high expectations and support students in their personal and academic growth.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (EWC registration for Wales).
- Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and best teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping children reach their full potential.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS check (Teaching Personnel can assist with this process if necessary).
- Understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to child protection.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
