Salary: £120-£140 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel are seeking passionate and dedicated Primary Teachers to join  vibrant and supportive schools in Portland, Dorset. You will work within a dynamic team to deliver high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum and ensure that each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning.
• Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the individual needs of students, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
• Manage classroom behavior effectively and foster a positive, respectful learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and report regularly to school leadership.
• Promote a culture of high expectations and support students in their personal and academic growth.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (EWC registration for Wales).
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and best teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for helping children reach their full potential.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS check (Teaching Personnel can assist with this process if necessary).
• Understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to child protection.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
