Business & Computer Science Teacher

A mixed comprehensive secondary school located in Salford is seeking a dynamic Business and Computing teacher from February 2020 or earlier.

Due to a member of permanent staff set to take maternity leave in the new term, the Headteacher and Head of Department wish to appoint a skilled practitioner, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding teaching and learning. -          Must hold QTS to be considered alongside a relevant degree level qualification within either discipline.

As the incoming Business and Computing teacher you can expect to join a highly successful department, which is enjoyed amongst pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The department has recently been fully refurbished with state of the art computer rooms and boasts access to state of the art resources within modern facilities.

The responsibilities for the successful post holder will include delivering outstanding student centred learning to pupils across Key Stages 3/4 in Business and Computing. Planning, preparing and assessing class work, in order to assess their progression and understanding, alongside developing Schemes of Work in line with the curriculum. You will also be responsible for reporting to the Head of Department regularly and manging behaviour in line with school behaviour and safeguarding policies.

Located in the Eccles region of Salford, this dynamic secondary school currently serves just over 600 pupils aged 11 -16. Salford is easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Trafford and Wigan. There also various public transport options available with links throughout Greater Manchester.
