Job Title: Geography Teacher (No planning!)

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative geography lessons to students.
  • Create lesson plans and educational materials that align with the curriculum.
  • Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Geography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Degree in Geography or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Geography is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of geography concepts and principles.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Proficient in using educational technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Geography.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.

Working Conditions:

The Geography Teacher will work in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The role may require occasional extra hours for parent meetings, school events, and professional development sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
