Job description

Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Cambridge

Are you an experienced SEN Teacher seeking a new opportunity, or a mainstream Teacher seeking a new and rewarding career working within SEND? Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher.

The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine commitment to supporting the unique needs of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual learning needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress, achievements, and behaviour, in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers, colleagues, and external agencies to foster positive relationships and ensure coordinated support for students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience working with children with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of SEN practices, principles, and legislation.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students with varying abilities and disabilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality in education.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
