The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with pupils from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 who have Autism ranging from moderate to severe, many of the students also have sensory impairments and will exhibit challenging behaviour. The students are in need of extra support and guidance primarily with their English and Maths. The main aspect of the role will be helping the children to engage with their learning, and encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour in lesson time.
