Teaching Personnel are excited to be seeking SEN Teaching Assistants across Norfolk.
With a strong interest and some knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN), you will be a reliable and motivated individual, who is ready to start work as soon as possible.
The Role
You will be working with pupils of all ages, ensuring they stay engaged as well as encouraging them to take part in class activities. Working in Special Educational Needs, no two days will be the same. One day you could be working with a pupil, who requires 1:1 support, the next you may be working as part of a larger class with multiple SEN pupils.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, duties will include:
- Promoting and assisting with the learning and development of the pupil(s) you are assigned to
- Encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence
- Managing behavior
- Preparing learning resources, as directed by the Teacher
Working Hours
As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant you must be available to work from 8.30am until 3.30pm. We have both part-time and full-time positions available and although this is a temporary long-term position, you could be offered a permanent position within a school.
