Autism Support Teaching Assistant

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Our supportive and welcoming partner school in rural Norfolk is looking for an additional SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team due to expansion. This challenging but extremely rewarding role will require you to support autistic pupils 1:1, in small groups and as part of a larger class. Class sizes are small and the curriculum is personalised, to significantly enhance the quality each child’s education.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is not immediately permanent; however there is an opportunity of gaining a permanent contract with the school through an introduction with Teaching Personnel.

You will also need a Full UK Driving License and own transport, due to the rural location of the school.

Built on a large area, the school thrives on their passion for the outdoors. Pupils are encouraged to explore the on-site adventure playgrounds and mass of outdoor space available to them. Staff at the school work hard to make sure that pupils have regular trips to their local amenities too; a particular favourite is Thetford Forest!

If you are available between 8.30am – 3.30pm for a minimum of two days per week and like the idea of working Monday - Friday, apply now to discuss your suitability for this role with one of our specialist consultants.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
