Attendance Administration Officer
Location: Northampton

Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Teaching Personnel is seeking an organised and proactive Attendance Administration Officer to join a supportive secondary school in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience—ideally in an education setting—to play a vital role in improving student attendance and supporting the smooth running of the school’s attendance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily student attendance and punctuality.

• Make follow-up calls to parents and carers regarding absences or lateness.

• Maintain accurate attendance records using the school’s management information system.

• Produce attendance reports for senior leadership and safeguarding teams.

• Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies where required.

• Support general administrative duties within the school office.

Requirements

• Experience in education administration is essential.

• Previous attendance administration experience is strongly preferred.

• Confident using MIS software (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom or similar).

• Excellent communication, organisation, and customer-service skills.

• Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment.

• Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
