Science Teacher – Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Salary: £130 - £170 per day (dependant on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2026 (or sooner if available)
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Northampton. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable), fostering a love of Science and encouraging students to reach their full potential.
You will join a supportive and forward-thinking Science department that values collaboration, creativity, and high standards of teaching and learning.
Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Inspire and motivate students to develop curiosity and confidence in Science.

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively.

Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and enrichment activities.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline).

Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3–KS4; KS5 desirable).

Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Enthusiasm for continuous professional development and teamwork.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
