Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Salary: £130 - £170 per day (dependant on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2026 (or sooner if available)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Northampton. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable), fostering a love of Science and encouraging students to reach their full potential.

You will join a supportive and forward-thinking Science department that values collaboration, creativity, and high standards of teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.

• Inspire and motivate students to develop curiosity and confidence in Science.

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively.

• Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and enrichment activities.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline).

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3–KS4; KS5 desirable).

• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

• Enthusiasm for continuous professional development and teamwork.
