Science Teacher – Full Time, Permanent – Northampton
Start Date: January 2026
Are you an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher ready for a new challenge in the new year? We are proud to be supporting a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Northampton, who are seeking a passionate Science specialist to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role
You will deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning in your students. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who brings creativity, strong subject knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping young people achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating Science lessons in line with the national curriculum

Monitor and assess student progress, offering targeted support and constructive feedback

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and achievement

Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular and enrichment opportunities
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 in a UK secondary setting

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
