Science Teacher – Secondary School in Northampton
Start Date: Easter Term

A well-regarded secondary school in Northampton is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its team from the Easter term. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a school community that values strong relationships, high standards and continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and well-sequenced lessons that enable students to:

  • Develop secure understanding of scientific principles

  • Think critically and apply knowledge to real-world contexts

  • Strengthen investigative and analytical skills

  • Build confidence and independence in their learning

Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry or Physics, you will play a key role in promoting curiosity and enthusiasm for science within the classroom.

You will be joining a supportive and collaborative department that shares resources, ideas and a commitment to student progress.


The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Science at secondary level

  • Deliver engaging lessons that challenge learners of all abilities

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

  • Be aligned with the school’s values of respect, resilience and aspiration

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is initially temporary, with the possibility of a permanent appointment.
