Teacher of English – Join Our Inspiring Team
Teaching Personnel is seeking an inspirational and well-qualified Teacher of English to join our dedicated team. English is a consistently popular A-Level choice at our partner schools, with many students progressing to study English and related subjects at university. This role is ideal for someone with experience teaching in secondary schools and a passion for helping young people thrive.
As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, up-to-date lessons in line with the national curriculum. The successful candidate will foster a supportive and inclusive classroom where students develop a genuine love for the subject. You will assess pupils formally and informally, provide both live and written feedback, and work collaboratively within the department to ensure a cohesive and enriching curriculum across KS3, KS4, and GCSE. You will also contribute positively to the wider school community.
The Role

Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4

Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons for students of all abilities

Contribute to the wider life of the school through departmental meetings, enrichment activities, and pastoral support

Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a love of learning and support strong pupil progress
What We’re Looking For

A qualified teacher with QTS (or working towards QTS)

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English literature and language

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
