Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor

Location: Northampton
Contract Type: Permanent / Temporary / Part-Time

About the Role:
We are looking for a confident and adaptable Secondary Cover Supervisor to join our team supporting secondary schools in Northampton. If you have a strong grounding in core subjects and a passion for supporting student learning, this role is ideal. As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring seamless continuity in learning when teachers are absent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver cover lessons across a variety of subjects, mainly within KS3 and KS4

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following clear behaviour policies

  • Follow detailed cover plans to maintain lesson continuity

  • Organise your own schedule with full control over your calendar for flexibility

  • Adapt confidently to different classroom settings and student needs

  • Strong knowledge and experience in core subjects (Maths, English, Science)

  • Excellent organisational skills with a focus on time management

  • Confidence in classroom management and engaging students effectively

  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in diverse teaching environments

  • A proactive and professional approach to supervision

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
