Art Teacher Position - Cardiff

Our client school is currently seeking to recruit an Art teacher, to start in February for the rest of the academic year.

• Full time Art teaching position
• Teaching Art across both KS3 and KS4
• Attractive pay rates in line with the MPS/UPS scale
• Easily accessible via the M4 motorway

A Secondary school that we are working closely with are eager to find a suitable replacement for their current Art Teacher who is due to leave on Maternity towards the end of next month. Located in Cardiff this Secondary school is serving a diverse catchment area with a broad range of needs in each class. There are a number of different languages spoken, which is highly supported with a strong SLT team and a great EAL department. The new Head teacher has clear vision of where they see their school in the coming years with a clear goal to raise attainment

The Art department has recently benefited from a renovation and has outstanding art provisions for all students. There is a community feel around the school as all pupils are cared for and supported by the staff.

Art teachers applying for this position will need to have:

• QTS and experience delivering Art lessons across the age and ability range at KS3 and GCSE
• An ability to deliver engaging lessons that lead to pupils making progress in Art
• Strong classroom management and an ability to build rapport
