Art Teacher - Derby - Maternity - September 2020

A client Secondary school located in Derby are looking to recruit an Art Teacher to start with them in September 2020 for a maternity cover. The school will be re opening and suitable candidates should be available to start on Monday 7th September. This position would suit any FQT or NQT and be working across 4 days of the week.

“We are looking for a passionate, subject specialist who is able to teach proficiently to KS4, GCSE level. We follow the AQA syllabus, so any knowledge or experience of this curriculum is particularly desirable but certainly not essential. We are happy to accept applications from teachers of all experience levels including those that are newly qualified either last year or currently training as well as those that are more experienced. The current situation has instilled a lot of uncertainty within the education sector but we are looking to prepare in the right way looking ahead to the new academic year”

The school are keen on engaging Art lessons with innovation where possible to keep students interested. The successfully appointed teacher should be able to teach in a novel and engaging way.

  • Pay will be dependent upon experience and payscale (no umbrella companies)
  • 0.8 teaching position starting on Monday 7th September 2020
  • Teach at a highly reputable secondary school situated in the Derby area
  • Co-educational secondary school which is easily accessible via public transport and those travelling by car
  • Planning and marking responsibilities will be part of this longer-term teaching position

This school is situated in Derby area making it very easy to get to for any eachers travelling via public transport or by car. For those teachers that travel by car, the school is situated close to the A38.
