An outstanding school based in the London borough of Hackney is seeking to appoint a behaviour mentor to join their team on a full-time basis to start in ASAP.
The school has a large SEN department and a newly appointed SENCO, to which they are looking to expand their team immediately to cope with demands from the most challenging students.
You will be working with pupils who exhibit angry, aggressive and withdrawn behaviour towards members of staff and other pupils. You will be working closely with the Head Teacher and the SENCO, ensuring regular feedback and evaluations are given to help improve the pupil’s behaviour and overall performance.
To be considered for this role, you must express the following skill set:
•Experience in a UK primary school (Early Years, KS1 and KS2)
•Experience working with ADHD and ADD students who have demonstrated challenging behaviour
•Confident, patient and tolerant
•Excellent communication skills
Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
