Primary School in North Manchester (M40) are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil showing signs of ASC in Early Years
1:1 Teaching Assistant in Early Years
Team Teach training desirable but will be provided to the successful candidate
Large Primary School with excellent and supportive staffing team.
A larger than average Primary School in North Manchester require a specialist behavioural Teaching Assistant to provide support for a pupil in Early years. The pupil is said to be showing signs of Autism and potential ADHD and has recently been issued with an Educational Health Care Plan. The pupil has said to be controllable with support but has been known to be disruptive and lash out without the right support in place.
The pupil is said to be charming but manipulative at times and will require a Teaching Assistant who is strong, assertive and resilient in their approach to keep the pupil on task and ensure progression is being made. The Head Teacher is initially looking for the successful candidate to work with the pupil 1:1 but depending on impact is hoping to re-integrate the pupil back in to the classroom as soon as possible.
The current staffs in the school are warm and welcoming and current Teaching Personnel staffs already in the school speak highly of how the school is run. The ideal candidate will not have any issues integrating in to the team and will feel well supported from the outset.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
