National Teaching Assistants’ Day: Celebrating the Difference TAs Make
National Teaching Assistants’ Day is a chance to recognise the incredible impact teaching assistants have in classrooms every day.
From supporting individual pupils to helping create inclusive learning environments, TAs play a vital role in helping students thrive. Their dedication, adaptability and care make a real difference, not just to learning outcomes, but to confidence, wellbeing and school communities as a whole.
At Teaching Personnel, we’re proud to work with so many talented teaching assistants across the UK. Their passion and commitment are at the heart of what they do, and days like National Teaching Assistants’ Day are an opportunity to celebrate that.
We regularly see this impact first-hand through the people we support, including inspiring individuals like Nell Whitfield, whose journey highlights just how meaningful the role of a TA can be.
Nominations now open: Teaching Assistant of the Year
To celebrate the incredible impact Teaching Assistants have, nominations are now open for our Teaching Assistant of the Year Award.
Running from 13th April to 25th May, the award recognises those who go above and beyond to support pupils and schools.
If you know a teaching assistant who deserves recognition, now is the time to put them forward.
Nominate today and help us celebrate the difference TAs make.
Our 2025 Teaching Assistant of the Year, Helen Rawlinson at Hallam Primary School, Sheffield
