‘Good’ Salford Secondary school have expressed a need for a Youth Work Teaching Assistant to join their team this academic year. Located near to the M602, our partner school is very accessible. They have recently been praised for their ability to deal effectively with behaviour throughout KS3 and KS4.
This position will involve working with students who have become disengaged from learning, supporting them in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. Further to this, the appointed Teaching Assistant will cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher to gain invaluable experience prior to completing a PGCE.
• Full time position, immediate start
• Experience working with students aged 11-16 is necessary
• Fantastic opportunity to enhance future PGCE applications
• Attractive daily rates of pay, up to £60 depending upon previous experiences
• ‘Good’ Secondary School, near to the M602
The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to have previous experience working with KS3/4 students, and have a strong presence within the classroom. Knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection is also necessary for this role.
