One of our partner clients is a pupil referral unit based in Warrington and they are seeking to employ graduates with a degree associated with youth and community work. The Warrington PRU caters for young people who have been excluded from mainstream education as a result of not being able to cope in mainstream education. The overall goal of the PRU is to manage and address the difficulties which lead to the exclusion in an effort to transition the young people back into mainstream education.
They are now seeking to employ a number of youth and community studies graduates to work on a short and long term basis within the unit as teaching assistants.
The ideal teaching assistant for this will have a degree relating to youth and community work. Having a background of putting your degree into practice is also essential for this School unit. You must also have a confident personality and will not be fazed by behaviours which could be described as challenging.
