Year 6 teacher - primary school based in Salford (M7)

A primary school in the Salford area (M7) are looking for a Key Stage 2 teacher to cover an earlier that expected maternity leave which will last until the end of the academic year. As the school has expanded into a 2 form entry primary school, there is a possibility this role will carry on into the new academic year in September.

The Head teacher is looking to see CV's of candidates with previous experience of working in Year 6 as soon as possible so the teacher can be fully embedded into the school community. The successful candidate will be working on a full time basis and will be expected to plan all lessons, mark work and evaluate pupil progress and prepare the pupil's for their SATS. In return, you will receive excellent support from a strong senior leadership team, PPA time and Level 3 teaching assistants to support you in the classroom.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified or newly qualified teacher
  • Have a strong knowledge of the KS2 Nation Curriculum
  • Enthusiastic and committed to high expectations of behaviour
  • Passionate about providing exciting learning experiences for the children in a cross curricular context
  • Have previous experience in SATS prep

This primary school in Salford (M7) was graded 'Good' in its most recent Ofsted inspection and concentrates on creating an inclusive and welcoming environment. The Head Teacher welcomes applicants how are fully qualified or newly qualified. The school has specialised provisions for ASC and SLCN and SEN is above average in the school. Because of this, the successful candidate will need experience differentiating lesson plans for pupil's with additional needs.
