Job description

We are currently recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work in the Hayle area.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN and SEMH needs and have strong behaviour management skills. It is important that you are a good role model for students and can make a positive change to their lives.

You will be responsible for helping the students to develop their communication and relationship building skills by encouraging them to take part in class activities and to give them additional PSHE learning tasks. It is important that you have a good understanding of the primary curriculum as you will be required to prepare, modify, and adapt resources depending on the students needs.

The ideal candidate will be available Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.15pm during term time. You will need to be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
