Year 5 General Teaching Assistant - Derby City Centre (DE21) - Maternity Cover

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a committed KS2 teaching assistant for a part time 15 hours a week (Monday- Friday 9am-12noon) maternity cover to work in a Year 5 Class room. The position is for a vibrant school based in the Derby City Centre. The school have been graded 'OUTSTANDING' on their recent OFSTED report and have a brilliant reputation.

They are looking for someone who is going to keep up with the education standards of the school and show keen interest in the pupils progression. The teacher will be need to be able to engage with pupil effective to support them with their learning.

The role will include :

  • Assisting with carrying out interesting class plans with regards to the curriculum
  • Working in year 5
  • Providing support to pupils and making sure they are engaging in the work given to them
  • ensuring each and every individual pupil progresses

You will need:

  • Enhanced DBS on the online update service
  • Right to work in the UK
  • 2 relevant work references - up to 11 months
  • Previous experience working in a KS2 Classroom
