Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Teaching assistant to assist in the support and inclusion of students with behavioural issues that have derived from Autism (ASC)
A large school in HG3 are currently looking to recruit someone on a full time basis to offer one to one support to a child within Year 4.
Can you:
Help develop an understanding of the specific needs of pupils with behavioural issues?
Help pupils to learn as effectively as possible in class?
Assist in areas where the pupil needs the greatest support e.g. language, reading, writing, behaviour and social skills.
Helping to keep the pupil on task and encouraging them to attain independence in their work
Can you help include the students in mainstream lessons and other activities?
Can you confidently liaise with parents ?
Help maintain an atmosphere in which vulnerable pupils can develop self- confidence and are able to maximise their potential.
Be flexible and adaptable enough to apply yourself to other tasks and work alongside staff members and other pupils when required?
Above are some of the responsibilities you would be expected to carry out as a Teaching Assistant within this school, however all applicants must meet the criteria below before applying:
Good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent).
Evidence of further education beyond Level 2
To demonstrate the skills necessary to empower students to maximise their academic achievement
Experience of working with students who have behavioural challenges
