PEP Co-ordinator, Merseyside

• You must have primary QTS
• Part-time, Wed-Friday
• Role begins September 5th, interview immediately

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a Merseyside based Council to assist in sourcing a Personal Education Plan Co-ordinator to start 5th September. You will be required to support and challenge Designated Teachers for CiC, social workers and other agencies around the quality of the PEP to maximize the educational outcomes of children and young people. This will include working across all localities in the LEA and with out of borough schools. In addition to this you will Produce accurate data and up to date information regarding PEPs to improve the delivery of service. Through monthly reporting track PEP completion and report to senior and team managers.

It’s essential the right candidate has the following:

•Previous experience working with vulnerable children ideally including Looked after Children.

•Experience of assessment, care planning and identifying risk in the context of looked after children and care leavers.

•Experience and knowledge of the National Curriculum, Key Stage 1/2 assessments and appropriate targeting, SEND Code of Practice.

•Detailed knowledge and experience of applying the statutory guidance on the duty on local authorities to promote the educational achievement of looked after children under Section 52 of the Children Act,2004.
