Teaching Assistant
Job description
Step into the welcoming atmosphere of a two-form entry primary school at the heart of Bristol, where the emphasis is firmly on instilling values in its young learners. This school is known for its commitment to nurturing confident individuals by focusing on different values each term. Currently seeking support staff for various roles, including a 1:1 learning support assistant role, the school offers a friendly and inclusive environment. Joining the team means working closely with a child with autism, but also helping groups of lower attaining children access the day-to-day curriculum.
You don't need any prior experience of working in a school for this role. You must however have experience of working with children in some capacity. This could include: coaching, baby sitting or working as a child support worker. However, if you are from alternative backgrounds where you have worked with children, I would love to hear from you.
Job Duties
- Being proactive in supporting children with SEND,
- Having a good level of patience and resilience,
- Supporting with providing teaching resources and being able to interpret plans,
- Promoting activities to aid natural curiosity and knowledge,
- Supporting children with interventions.
What you need to apply:
- Prior experience of working with children is necessary,
- Prior experience in schools is desirable but not essential,
- Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service (we can assist with application)
- Legal right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
