Teaching Assistant

This school is known for its commitment to nurturing confident individuals by focusing on different values each term. Currently seeking support staff for various roles, including a 1:1 learning support assistant role, the school offers a friendly and inclusive environment. Joining the team means working closely with a child with autism, but also helping groups of lower attaining children access the day-to-day curriculum.

You don't need any prior experience of working in a school for this role. You must however have experience of working with children in some capacity. This could include: coaching, baby sitting or working as a child support worker. However, if you are from alternative backgrounds where you have worked with children, I would love to hear from you.

Job Duties

• Being proactive in supporting children with SEND,
• Having a good level of patience and resilience,
• Supporting with providing teaching resources and being able to interpret plans,
• Promoting activities to aid natural curiosity and knowledge,
• Supporting children with interventions.

What you need to apply:

• Prior experience of working with children is necessary,
• Prior experience in schools is desirable but not essential,
• Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service (we can assist with application)
• Legal right to work in the UK.
