Job description

I am currently advertising for a Year 2 role to start in September with the view to continuing for the remainder of the 2018/2019 academic year. This role will be an exciting opportunity for any teacher who is either starting in their career or possibly looking for a new challenge.

The expectations:

The expectations at this school and in this role are high. As the school is currently two form entry, you will also have the opportunity to work alongside the other class teachers, planning and moderating work.

The role:

The role is to work in a Year 2 class, preparing the children for the end of year SATs. It is important that you are experienced in working towards the SATs and you can confidently work alongside children with a variety of needs, both socially and academically. The Head teacher has specified that the children who will be working in this Year 2 class next year are very bright and so it is important that you are able to move the children on in their learning. You will be expected to plan and deliver daily phonics work to enhance Reading and Writing opportunities. The School are currently using Letters and Sounds as their main whole class Phonics Scheme but also use Read Write Inc. as an intervention scheme to boost Reading and Writing.
