Year 2 Behaviour Mentor - Mill Hill

£50-£70 Daily Rate!

An Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' primary school in Watford are currently looking for an experience Behaviour Mentor to work 1-1 with a pupil in a year 2 .The role will include building the pupils' confidence, character and overall well-being: providing a safe environment where the pupil will look forward to coming to school. You will work alongside classroom teachers and assistants to help encourage participation and encouragement.

What we are looking for?

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Primary School classroom based familiarity
  • Infectious Personality
  • Possess a Valid DBS certificate
  • Teaching Qualifications (desired but not essential)
  • Background in youth work (desired but not essential)

About the School

The school has recently expanded into a religious three form entry school which is one of the main reasons why the school are hiring additional staff. This approach is to ensure that each child receives additional support and the encouragement they need to maximise their full potential. Children are actively encouraged to believe in themselves and the school takes a firm stance on making sure that every child is as prepared as they can be for secondary school. In addition to this, learning takes shape in different forms, whether it is a residential trip, an adaptive approach to delivering the national curriculum or partaking in creative sessions. The school endeavours to make sure that by the end of a pupil's primary school journey they will have developed a strong urge and desire to learn, no matter what obstacles they may face in the future.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
