Position: Year 5 Teacher
Location: Crawley
Pay: M1–M6 (Paid to scale, pro rata if part-time)
Start Date: After October half term
School Type: Three-form entry primary school
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Year 5 Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive team at a well-regarded three-form entry primary school in Crawley. Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 5 pupils

Collaborate effectively with the other two Year 5 class teachers to share planning and best practice

Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where every child is challenged and encouraged

Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions as needed

Support the personal, social, and emotional development of pupils
-
Maintain consistent and positive behaviour management strategies
-
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and wider staff teams

Contribute to staff meetings, school events, and ongoing CPD

Uphold and promote the school’s values and commitment to inclusive education
About You
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
-
Experience teaching in a primary setting (desirable – ECTs are welcome to apply)

A team player who values collaboration within a year group and across the school

Passionate about supporting children’s academic and personal development
-
Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Creative, reflective, and adaptable in your approach

Well-organised with a proactive, positive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
