Pay: M1–M6 (Paid to scale, pro rata if part-time)

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Year 5 Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive team at a well-regarded three-form entry primary school in Crawley. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 5 pupils

• Collaborate effectively with the other two Year 5 class teachers to share planning and best practice

• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where every child is challenged and encouraged

• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions as needed

• Support the personal, social, and emotional development of pupils

• Maintain consistent and positive behaviour management strategies

• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and wider staff teams

• Contribute to staff meetings, school events, and ongoing CPD

• Uphold and promote the school’s values and commitment to inclusive education

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies

• Experience teaching in a primary setting (desirable – ECTs are welcome to apply)

• A team player who values collaboration within a year group and across the school

• Passionate about supporting children’s academic and personal development

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Creative, reflective, and adaptable in your approach

• Well-organised with a proactive, positive attitude
