Job description

Join Teaching Personnel in our mission to support Secondary schools in the Wigan LEA by becoming part of our dedicated team of Cover Supervisors, ready to provide flexible cover when needed.

As a Cover Supervisor with us, you'll enjoy:

- No prior Secondary school experience required, although preferred.
- Early start opportunities available immediately or before September.

In this role, your ability to confidently deliver pre-planned lessons to students aged 11-16 is crucial. You'll also need adept classroom management skills for handling any disruptions, with additional training and support provided by both Teaching Personnel and our partner schools.

This role is an excellent stepping stone for your future career. It not only enhances your PGCE application but equips you with the essential skills needed to excel as a teacher.

Ideal candidates possess coaching or tutoring experience, have previously worked as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant, or are teachers seeking a Secondary school environment without the usual teaching responsibilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
