Tutors required for September in South East London!

If you can travel to work based in Southwark, Lewisham or Greenwich and will be looking for tuition work in September, I would like to hear from you!

Details of the work available:

  • Mostly English and maths to either functional skills or lower GCSE level
  • Suitable for Fully Qualified Teachers or Teaching Assistants who have experience of tutoring
  • You will be doing 1:1 tuition for different students who are out of education for various reasons, including some who have special educational needs
  • You may tutor students at a local library, at their family home, or at a tuition centre
  • Tuition is normally offered on a short term basis, anywhere between 3 and 12 weeks
  • Tuition starts at two hours per day per student
  • You can take on more than one student per day if you would like extra hours work per day
  • Experience of working with children who have mental health difficulties and sometimes challenging behaviour will be beneficial

You will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver all tuition material.

You will also be expected to report back at the end of each week, giving a brief overview of which topics you have covered, what progress has been made, and how much each student has engaged with the tuition.

Payment for tuition is negotiable, dependent on qualifications and experience.
